Opposites Attract Hats

My first ever design!

Opposites attract hats in baby size

The inspiration for these came from a fairisle source book I bought with a birthday book voucher my lovely grandma gave me back in 2016. As well as being my first design, it was also one of my first stranded knitting projects, and I was (and still am) immensely proud of that achievement, even if it is such a simple design!

I wrote the pattern for sizes adult, child, toddler and baby with the intention that you could make 2 opposite matching hats of any combination of sizes from two 100g balls of yarn. My thought was that they would make super cute his and hers, mummy and baby or brother and sister hats.

You can find this pattern (for free!!) on both ravelry and loveknitting through the links below (note: use caution when accessing ravelry, it has recently had an update with brighter contrasts and animations which have given a number of people migraines, nausea and even seizures).

Please share you’re creations with me, I’d love to see what you make! I am @knitintheforest on Instagram, or use #OppositesAttractHats so I can see.

Happy knitting!! 💕
